FAQ
Why R-49? +
DOE recommends R-49 to R-60 for attics in cold climates and R-30 to R-49 in warm climates.
Cellulose vs fiberglass? +
Cellulose has slightly higher R per inch and better air sealing, but absorbs moisture. Fiberglass is lighter and cheaper.
Heads up: ClutchCalcs gives you fast, accurate results — but always sanity-check critical decisions (medical, financial, structural) with a professional.
