ClutchCalcs ("we", "us", "our") operates the website clutchcalcs.com (the "Site"). This page tells you what information we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We try to keep this short and honest.
The short version
- We don't require any account to use any calculator.
- Your calculator inputs stay in your browser. We don't send them anywhere.
- Favorited calculators are stored on your device only (browser localStorage).
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and Google AdSense to show ads. These services use cookies.
- You can opt out of personalized ads anytime through Google's settings.
Information we collect
Information you give us
Calculator inputs (height, weight, dimensions, card values, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted to our servers. We don't see them. We don't store them. If you reload the page, your inputs are gone.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our analytics and ad partners may automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate location (city/region)
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Pages visited, time spent, and referring website
- Anonymous identifiers used for analytics and ad personalization
Local storage (favorites)
When you tap the heart on a calculator, we save the calculator's slug to your browser's localStorage under the key cc:favs:v1. This data lives only on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and can be cleared anytime through your browser settings.
Third-party services we use
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings. For EU/UK/Swiss visitors, our consent banner provides granular controls.
Vercel (hosting)
The Site is hosted on Vercel, which may log IP addresses and request data for security, performance, and reliability. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
How we use information

- To understand which calculators are most used (analytics)
- To show ads that help fund the Site
- To detect and prevent abuse
We do not sell your personal information.
Your rights
EU/UK/Swiss visitors (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, and to object to processing or request data portability. Because we don't ourselves collect or store personal data about you (only third-party analytics and ad providers do), most requests will need to be directed to Google.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Some ad cookies may qualify as "sharing" under CPRA — opt out via your browser's Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic and rely on Vercel's infrastructure security. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 14 days.
