10–20% is normal. Less than 10% and you're working for free. Over 25% and your spots won't sell against competitors.
Tiered pricing — when? +
Use it for football. Chiefs/Cowboys/49ers go for 3–4× what the Browns do. Even-split breaks burn buyers and your random fills slow.
Whatnot fees? +
Whatnot charges ~8% + 2.9% payment processing ≈ ~11%. eBay live is similar. Bake that into the platform fee.
