Is this a stamped fire protection plan? +
No — it's a starting grid layout. Walls, doors, columns, and existing equipment will move actual extinguisher locations. Always have a licensed fire protection contractor verify before installation.
Why grid rather than perimeter? +
Travel distance controls. Putting one extinguisher every 150 ft along a perimeter wall leaves the middle of a large open floor more than 75 ft from any unit. Grid keeps everyone within the travel-distance circle.
Mount height? +
NFPA 10 §6.1.3.8: top of extinguisher max 5 ft above floor for units under 40 lb; 3.5 ft for heavier units. Bottom min 4" above floor.
