Coping vs deck — what's included here? +
This is just the deck slab — measured from where the coping ends. If the coping is 12" wide, subtract one extra foot from each side of the deck width if needed.
Standard deck thickness? +
4" is residential standard. Pool decks see vehicle and equipment loads during build, so some specs call for 5–6" with #4 rebar on 18" centers.
Why 8% waste? +
Concrete trucks pour slightly over, screeding loses some, and uneven sub-base eats yards. Always order a touch heavy — coming up short is a disaster.
