130point.com for eBay sold comps, Card Ladder for trend data, PSA Auction Prices Realized for graded sales. Use 90-day sold comps, not asking prices.
Should I include base cards? +
Up to you. For most modern releases, base cards trade for pennies — only worth counting if you're set-collecting.
Is breaking +EV? +
Sealed product hobby boxes typically run 70–95% expected value (manufacturer takes the rest). High-end stuff is closer to break-even with massive variance. Don't expect to print money cracking wax.
